Skin, in human beings is an important organ and therefore, it should be well protected from any sort of infection by properly cleaning and nourishing it. If the skin is healthy then the person’s face appears good. In order, to protect the skin from various infections, person should clean the face everyday. Deep cleaning is important.

It keeps pores clear skin healthy and aesthetically good. In order to protect the skin, cleansing products used should be as chemical-free as possible. Care should be taken not to use the deodorant soaps on the face.

They clean the skin with rough ingredients and leaves and detergent film behind. This may irritate the skin and block the pores. Skin should also be protected from the rough elements like ground bits of nut or seed extracts. They can tear and damage the skin.

Skin should be protected from drying up, with the use of a moisturizer. The moisturizer should also contain least amount of chemicals. Very light moisturizer is applied on the face after cleansing.

For an intensive moisture, treatment, pure Vitamin E or aloe vera oil may be used. It is available in liquid form or in the form of a capsule. The oil is applied directly onto the skin. It is very helpful in moisturizing the sensitive area of the face.

As the skin loses its elasticity due to aging process, hence it should be protected from such, things by keeping the skin toned. Astringents and tones with glycolic and toners with glycolic or alpha hydroxy acids are though to be the best for toning the face.

These acids reduce the pore size and helps to avoid ingrown hairs. Healthy skin is young looking skin. There are various preventive techniques that help to maintain the best skin. Skin is thought to be the mirror to overall body health. Person should protect the skin from over exposure to the sun.

It is because the sunburn leads to increased melanin pigmentation, which leads to formation of brown spots, which can lead to the development of dangerous skin problems. Hence, it is recommended to cover the exposed parts of body with cloth and to routine application of sunscreen on face, neck, hands where the cloth cannot be worn.

Moreover, for the protection of skin, person should stay in shape. He should not develop obesity. If he/she performs exercise regularly then it helps in promotion of capillary functioning, which decreases the changes of premature aging.

It also increases oxygen to the tissues, which helps in skin looking young. Person should also eat right in order to protect the skin. They should keep vitamins such as Vitamin C and E and their diet regimen. Too much of anything is never a good idea.

In order to protect the skin, person should stay away from excessive alcohol, smoking, fatigue and stress. Excessive intake of alcohol or smoking leads to premature aging and they also decreases facial circulation and thus making the person look older.

If the person’s skin is too shiny then it just appears greasy. Then the person should blot the excess oils away. Blotting papers or a light powder gives a more natural finish and are good option to try. Moisturizer’s used should not contain alcohol or any sort of fragrance, which can irritate the skin
