The best start to have a healthy baby is to see the doctor before you conceive. There are lots of things that can be done ahead of time. Like women can be made sure that she is immune to rubella, she can know her blood type, she can stop smoking and make sure that her diet is healthy.

Once the woman is pregnant, she will begin with monthly visits to obstetrician that can increase to once a week or more at the end. At each visit, the physician or nurse will perform a series of examinations and tests to determine the health of the mother and the baby.

These include measuring the growth of the uterus, listening to the baby’s hear beat, taking the mother’s blood pressure and weight and checking her urine for evidence of protein or sugar. Doctor also asks the mother if she has any problems such as blurred vision, leg cramps, abdominal cramps or unusual headaches.

The mother may also undergo ultrasound and genetic tests during the pregnancy. Researches have shown that pregnant women who get proper prenatal care are more likely to have healthy babies and fewer complications during labour and recovery.

Good nutrition is another crucial step in having a healthy baby. A pregnant woman needs etc with protein, fruits vegetables and whole grains and a minimum of sweets and fruits.

Some nutrients have been found to provide specific benefit to mother or child. For example, the Vitamin B has been found to be especially important.

Many infections during pregnancy can be dangerous to an unborn child. Urinary tract infections and any sexually transmitted diseases need to be treated immediately. Cat litter and raw meat may contain parasite, which can lead to toxoplasmosis infection.

Many drugs are appropriate for use in pregnancy. But the pregnant women should not take any medication without consultation with doctor.

It has been proved that the exercise, even a vigorous workout, is healthy during pregnancy, is healthy during pregnancy.

Exercise is usually safe during pregnancy. Walking, swimming, riding a stationary bicycle and joining a prenatal aerobics class are all excellent exercise choices for a pregnant woman.

Healthy Diet For Pregnancy

Pregnancy causes the uterus to swell and it will start to enlarge for the growing foetus immediately. When pregnant, the body is going through the hormonal changes. Body temperature is also high due to amount progesterone circulating through the body which also make the pregnant woman little sluggish. Light bleeding may occur approximately 8-10 days from ovulation.
