Great nutrition is the most effective way of getting awesome hair! Nutrition - Healthy hair starts with a healthy diet

Shampoos and conditioners provide some external help but inorder to stimulate hair growth and obtain really beautiful hair ,You need to take a balanced, nutritious diet and see the difference it makes to your hair.

How much of each food group you eat depends on majorit of factors like age, sex, health and level of physical activity.

You must keep the following points in mind while chosing your diet to obtain healthy and more strong hair .

1) Include required amount of vitamins (especially B group vitamins) , minerals, and amino acids in their diet which are required for healthy hair and to improve the growth rate of hair.

2) Eat a variety of foods and avoid choclates and junk foods asmuch as you can.

3) Do not over cook.

4) you should not do dieting as it affects it deprives your body of all the important vitamins and minerals required to stimulate hair growth and obtain healthy hair .

5) If possible , you can also take a well-balanced multi-vitamin / mineral product or you can also take a vitamin B-complex along with additional B-vitamins for best results .

Water

Drink atleast eight to ten glasses of water a day. Apart from water also include a lot of fluids in your diet.

Water is very esential for the hair as it adds up one-fourth of the weight of a strand of hair and makes the hair silky and shiny . Always remember that u should not wait till you're thirsty. When you drink water when you are thirsty means your body has already lost more water than it should have, and it's urging you to fill up the tank.

Protein

Protein is composed of the amino acids, thus known as the the building block of hair. It keeps your hair healthy and strong and lastly Protein also provides more strength to your hair. So your diet shold include a lot of protein or your hair could become dry and brittle. Sources of protein are foods like fish, meat, milk, cheese and cereals, poultry, eggs, dairy products, soy, nuts, grains and seeds.

Carbohydrates

Carbohydrates are chemical compounds which act as major souces of storing or consuming energy. Thus your diet should also include adequate amounts of useful carbohydrates. They are a great source of energy and help in growth and makes hair more healthy and stronger.

Minerals

Iron:

Iron helps to carry oxygen to the hair. Sources of iron are red meat and dark green vegetables, or by iron supplements.

Zinc:

Zinc stimulates hair growth by enhancing immune function and prevents hair loss. Common sorces are meat and seafood .

Copper:

Copper is used for the pigmentation of hair. Sources of copper are shellfish, liver, fresh vegetables, nuts, seeds and meat .
